PittaRosso, a well-known Italian shoe retailer with more than 150 physical stores, faced slow page speeds and limited autonomy on their old Adobe Commerce platform. Their previous system couldn’t keep up with marketing needs or SEO best practices. Byte-Code recommended moving to Shopify Plus with a headless setup, decoupling the frontend from backend to speed up iterations. They built a custom storefront and CMS that plugged into Shopify’s API, slashing load times and giving the team full creative control.
Boraso agency reworked the site’s information architecture, optimized metadata, and refreshed content to target high-value keywords. Organic traffic grew as pages loaded faster and ranked higher, and paid campaigns saw better Quality Scores.
To personalize checkout and marketing, PittaRosso added Klarna’s buy now, pay later option and Klaviyo for automated email flows. They also set up Auto Tags and Multifeeds to tag products automatically and feed catalogs to multiple channels, saving hundreds of hours annually.
The switch delivered immediate gains: 27% more Black Friday Cyber Monday revenue in 2022 versus 2021, an 11% jump in conversion rate year-over-year, and a 37% rise in online net profit. January 2023 sales were the best on record, all with a small in-house team.
With Shopify Plus as their backbone, PittaRosso plans to add Shopify POS for seamless omnichannel operations. The brand now makes data-driven decisions with real-time dashboards, keeping them competitive against digital natives.
