Within four years, Our Place changed how people think about cookware. By focusing on a single ten-in-one pan and a clear mission—making cooking accessible and communal—they took a lean team and built a worldwide presence using Shopify.
Our Place launched with the Always Pan, designed to replace multiple kitchen tools. Its non-stick ceramic surface is free of PFAS, aluminum is 100% recycled, and packaging cuts single-use plastics. The result was a standout product that spoke to sustainability and space-saving design.
Starting as a team of one, digital product lead Danielle Hoo leaned on Shopify’s APIs, international sales tools, and checkout extensibility to iterate. They moved from a 3-step checkout to a single-page flow, cutting friction. Integrations with loyalty apps and custom UI extensions made the experience feel native.
By adopting Shopify POS and syncing inventory, Our Place created consistency across pop-ups, standalone stores in LA, and wholesale partnerships like Target. Teams from customer service to operations use the same platform, reducing manual work and errors.
After the US launch, they rolled out to Canada, the UK, and most recently Australia. Shopify’s international sales tools automated duties, currencies, and local payment methods—so launches moved fast and with fewer headaches.
With an in-house team now covering engineering, design, and data, Our Place runs regular A/B tests, upgrades error reporting, and refines discount logic. They plan site updates that tie directly to user feedback and metrics.
