Ysé started as a small Parisian lingerie label with bold editorial aims. The brand’s team wanted a site that reflected its refined photographic style and rich written descriptions. On Prestashop they ran into limits: every style or layout tweak needed a developer, and product drops often sent traffic spikes that the server couldn’t handle. In late 2020, managing director Clara Gervais chose Shopify Plus for its native headless and omnichannel modules. Less than a year later, Ysé launched a fresh online store, unified its inventory, and linked its boutiques via Click & Collect.
Before migration, Ysé used Odoo ERP patched together with a Prestashop front end. Manual imports and exports for stock and orders created constant overhead. Editorial ambition clashed with a rigid page builder. Each newsletter blast or capsule collection release risked a site crash. Temporary server boosts and one-off fixes became costly and stressful—Clara needed a single system she could adjust herself, without latency or downtime concerns.
Shopify Plus delivered a headless structure where content and commerce connect through APIs. Ysé now edits editorial sections on the fly, switching banners, rich text and image grids in minutes. Back-office tasks for orders, stock and POS sit in the same interface. The modular setup lets the team swap CRMs or payment methods without disrupting code. Moving boutiques onto Shopify POS took just days, and integration with online stock means Click & Collect orders flow directly from local shelves.
In Q1 after launch, average cart size rose by 30%. Six months in, conversions were up 18%. Today 65% of total revenue comes from digital channels, and the brand opened twice as many physical outlets between 2021 and 2023. With a stable infrastructure, Ysé now plans to expand internationally, using the same headless store template and POS connectivity to enter new markets swiftly.
Ysé’s switch to Shopify Plus turned a fragile system into a flexible hub for design, content and commerce. The team can focus on creative campaigns, confident the platform scales. As they roll out new swimwear lines and enter Germany and Italy, the unified model promises consistent brand feel and simplified operations.
