Peepers is a digital-only eyewear retailer that designs and sells reading glasses and accessories for both men and women. After pouring resources into an Adobe Commerce redesign that moved at a snail’s pace, their site was still slow, clunky, and missing staples like multiple product views. When the brand earned a spot in O, The Oprah Magazine, the team realized they had to launch fast or miss out on a huge traffic spike. Switching to Shopify Plus offered a platform they could tweak themselves, plus a way to deploy a custom checkout that guides customers to spend more.
After migrating to Shopify Plus, the Peepers team rebuilt their storefront in weeks. They shot multiple angles of every frame and used Shopify’s custom HTML import to keep visual consistency across pages. On product pages, clear zoomable images and crisp descriptions replaced outdated layouts. In checkout, a dynamic free-shipping motivator displays how much more customers need to add to their carts to qualify. They also split-test accessories bundles—eyeglass cases and cleaning kits—to find the strongest upsell offers. This flexibility made the site feel safe and familiar, so customers went through checkout with confidence.
Peepers plans to unlock more customization tools in Shopify Plus, from loyalty programs to advanced analytics. By retaining the agility to test new features day by day, they’re poised to keep growing without technical roadblocks.
