In January 2015, Becky Beach launched MomBeach.com with just one objective: share real solutions for busy mothers. With $0 to invest and a fresh idea, she set up a basic WordPress blog, then posted her first article. That initial month brought in just $1 from Google AdSense. It wasn’t much, but it was proof of concept.
By month six, MomBeach attracted enough readers to generate $100. Family and friends thought she was wasting time. Exhausted from juggling side gigs and blog updates, she almost called it quits. But Becky chose to refine her focus. She dug into Facebook groups, parenting forums, and discovered recurring questions about budgeting, home organization, and kid activities.
Rather than generic posts, Becky crafted step-by-step guides: weekly meal plans, printable chore charts and budget trackers. She invited readers into a private Facebook group, answered questions daily, and ran simple polls. Engagement jumped, readers shared posts, and comments rose. This authentic approach laid a foundation for upselling.
MomBeach tested: Google AdSense, affiliate links, Etsy printables, sponsored posts and paid courses. AdSense ads were intrusive and earned pennies. Affiliate commissions were low on general products. But Etsy printables sold steadily, and once Becky bundled printables with mini-courses on her own site, income rose. She launched physical planners and hired a contractor for graphic design, expanding product lines while keeping overhead low.
In early 2020, lockdowns sent monthly traffic from ~20K to 250K. Guides on homeschooling, indoor activities and stress relief spread fast. By mid-2020, MomBeach hit $30K/month. Becky invested profits into AI tools like ChatGPT for content ideas and Canva for design. Customer support moved to virtual assistants, freeing her focus for growth strategies.
In 2021 Becky quit her part-time job and embraced blogging full time. She publishes 10+ posts weekly, uses AI prompts to refine headlines, and continually tests product ideas with short blog teasers before full launches. Data from Google Analytics and email open rates guide her decisions. Today, MomBeach maintains $30K/month, with plans for interactive courses, a membership community, and a parenting book.
