Founded in Milan in 1987, Antonioli built its reputation on a curated selection of luxury, avant-garde labels. By the 2000s, its e-commerce site ran on a custom platform called HiStreet, which became costly to maintain and struggled under global traffic peaks. Site instability led to lost sales during promotions and major drops in speed whenever new features were needed.
In partnership with agency Cooder, Antonioli evaluated its needs: faster deployment, reliable hosting, and easy access to new tools via an app ecosystem. Migrating toShopify Pluscut maintenance overhead, delivered server stability, and provided instant scalability for flash sales and international launch days.
One of the toughest tasks was unifying multiple price lists into a single storefront. Antonioli tackled this by integrating its existing systems through a robustProduct Information Management (PIM)solution and leveraging Cooderโs proprietary Order Management System (OMS),Powngo. This created an end-to-end communication flow for accurate pricing and stock data on both back end databases and the user-facing site.
With PIM and Powngo handling data enrichment and order orchestration, the brand automated returns, ensured timely stock updates, and reduced manual intervention. Warehouse processes adopted multi-list management, making it simple to route orders across nine boutiques and a central distribution center.
Antonioli reorganized collections with theRanking Collectionapp, enabling dynamic product ordering based on merchandising strategies without manual updates. Checkout flows got a makeover viaShopify FlowandScripts, which prevented shoppers from selecting SKUs unavailable in their region and triggered custom promotions.
Within nine months of launch, Antonioli saw a 20% jump in referral traffic from social and affiliates, a 15% rise in average order value, and a 12.5% boost in conversion rate. Site performance remained solid during peak events, and the team regained focus on growth rather than platform upkeep.
